Average House Prices in Leeds for the end of August 2020
If you own a house or flat that you want to sell, then average house prices could be a good place to start. The best place to get average house prices is a property sales website such as Rightmove or Zoopla. But, to save you the time, Sell My House Quickly Leeds will give a very quick rundown for August 2020.
In August 2020, Rightmove reported average house prices in Leeds were £202,070 year on year. The majority of sales by property type were semi-detached houses, which sold for an average price of £210,352. Flats over took terrace houses once again after the unusual switch seen in July 20 with flats fetching £151,069 and terraces going for an average of £150,832.
In August 2020, Zoopla reported average house prices in Leeds were £213,924. This is quite different to the estimate given by Rightmove but both show a slight drop in prices compared to July. However, Zoopla still reports significant differences in the price of terrace houses compared to flats and shows that terrace houses fetched £158,216 compared to £143,397 for flats. This difference can probably be explained due to a slight lag in Zoopla’s reporting and the prices are now starting to reflect the drop in demand for flats due to Covid.
There is always some variation in the data provided by big property selling websites such as Rightmove and Zoopla because they will have slight differences in how they collect and analyse their data to give average house prices.
